Sydney opera house

 The Sydney Opera House was designed by the architect Jorn Utzon, its concept was selected from an international design comepetition in 1957. The construction of this building began in 1959 and it was opened on 20 october 1973.


The sydney opera house was iscribed on the UNESCO world heritage list in 2007 recognizin it as a masterpiece of the 20th century architecture with outstanding universal value.


The opera house offers a official guided tours that take you inside and explain you the architecture and the history of this building. The prices are this ones: 

Adults: around AU$45–48 each

Children (5-15 years): typically about AU$25–28 each

Concession: usually around AU$35–38

Family ticket (2 adults + 2 children): around AU$115–124


Being a sydney opera house insider include no booking fees on ticket 10 off food and drink at many dining venues. Some occasional offers on backstage tours ands prefencial acces to events. This membership usually only last 1-3 years. 


Transport near the opera house are ferries, trains and buses. The ferries depart regularly from many sydney harbour bridge destination at circular quay wharf 5, the trains  frequent suburban services from around Sydney stop at Circular Quay railway station and the buses also operate to Circular Quay.
